Vancouver City Wayfinding
Vancouver, B.C. is a well-known coastal city located west of Canada. A geometrical and minimal approach was taken to convey the identity of the city that would reflect on its sustainable values and commitment to the environment and economy. The identity was the launching point in creating a wayfinding system for a park in the city. In this case, Stanley Park is a prime example symbolizing the relationship between the city and its natural environment – immersed in the mountains and fauna of beautiful B.C. Furthermore, a concept for a park wayfinding app was developed; integrating the technology of QR codes, geocaching, and augmented reality for park visitors and local to use.
